Terms and Conditions

These terms & conditions set out the basis on which you can visit and use our web site and on which you place orders with us. Please read them carefully as they contain important information.

Bass Interiors Online is a trading name of J9 Limited a company registered in England and Wales (Co Reg No: 03452292). The registered office for J9 Limited is Ash Grove, Cobb Fenn, Sible Hedingham, Halstead, Essex C09 3RX. Our main trading address is at Suite 14, Communications House, 9 St John’s Street, Colchester, Essex, C02 7NN. Our VAT number is: 700 3464 81.

J9 Limited trading as Bass Interiors Online owns this site and when ordering this is the company with which you make a contract. In these terms and conditions references to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ shall be references to J9 Limited.

We may change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you and any changes will apply to subsequent orders received.


Product Description & Pricing

We take every care in the preparation of the content of this web site, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, please note the following:

* Colour and appearance on the web site will vary according to the resolution and the screen type of your computer. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that the appearance or colours of the products shown on the site exactly reproduce the appearance or colours of the products themselves.

* The weights, dimensions and capacities given are approximate only.

* The price you pay is the price displayed on our web site at the time we receive your order, and will be clearly stated on your order confirmation, with the following exception: if we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled, and will give you a full refund.

* On rare occasions, product descriptions may not reflect the exact position at the moment. We do not therefore offer any warranties as to their accuracy. You do have the right to cancel as set out in the paragraph headed “Order Cancellation + Returns”.

* Packaging may vary from any shown.


Payment

We will charge your credit card account immediately on receipt of our order. Your invoice will refer to "bassinteriors.co.uk" as the business which you have paid. Online orders must be paid for by credit/debit card. We accept Visa Credit, Master Card, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Switch 

By providing us with credit or debit card details to pay for an order, you are confirming that the card you are using is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer.

All goods will remain the property of J9 Limited t/a Bass Interiors Online, until paid for in full.


Accepting Your Order

We reserve the right to carry out checks and authorisation procedures on cards, cheques, stock, etc before your offer to buy from us is accepted. We reserve the right to reject any order placed with us, depending on the results of the checks and procedures that we may carry out.

After placing an order, you will receive an invoice and an e-mail from us acknowledging that we have received your order. This will be sent only to the e-mail address you have supplied to us. Goods will be dispatched separately to invoice. Please keep all paper work that we send you in case of query. We keep electronic copies of all orders made. 

If we reject your order but have taken payment from you, we will refund the payment taken within 3 working days of our notice of rejection.


Delivery Service

We deliver to UK mainland only at the charges shown. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands & Isles, Isle of Man and Channel Islands are subject to a surcharge which depends on weight - we ask you to agree our quote before charging you. For quotes, please ring 0844 453 3033.

Delivery times vary depending on the product - usually this is 7 to 14 working days. Details are shown with each product. If no delivery date is specified we will deliver within 30 days of the Invoice.

Our delivery service is a kerb side delivery, Mon - Fri in normal office hours. It is a signed for service and redelivery attempts are charged to us, so we have to pass on these charges. Sorry!

Many of our products are heavy and drivers will need assistance to unload - please bear this in mind when making arrangements.

Please check the deliveries before signing - please indicate if there are any signs of damage.


Order Cancellation & Returns

Changing Your Mind

If you wish to change or cancel your order, please contact us immediately and we will try to stop delivery. However, if delivery has already taken place, please still contact us immediately in writing. Providing that you inform us within 7 days beginning on the day after you receive the goods and return the goods to us in the same condition in which you received them at your own cost and at your own risk, we will give you a full refund or exchange the goods as you prefer.

Please note that refunds will include any delivery charges incurred when your order was first sent to you. However, if we arrange collection, then the costs of collection will be treated as your costs of return and will be deducted from the price you first paid when calculating the refund you are due. Normal delivery terms (see above) apply to goods sent out in exchange.

You have a legal obligation to take responsible care of the Products while they are in your possession. If you fail to comply with this obligation, we may have a right of action against you for compensation.

Please keep the original packaging and use it for the return delivery. Please do not return goods without notifying us. This enables us to advise you on the best method of packing to avoid transit damage. We do not expect you to be experts in packaging, but we do ask you to follow our advice.  

The right to cancel within 7 working days does NOT apply to trade orders (orders invoiced to businesses rather than the general public).


A Problem With The Goods

If you are cancelling your order because of a problem with the goods, we apologise for the problem. Please let us know as soon as you can what the nature of the problem is and in any event please let us know within 7 working days and keep all original packaging. We will advise you on the correct return address and agree with you the method of return.

We ideally need a photo of the damaged item (including the packaging) within 7 days of receiving it.

If, after inspecting the goods, we agree that they are substandard, we will send you a replacement, or, if you prefer, we will refund damaged goods in full, including any UK delivery charges incurred. Any replacement goods will be sent to you at a UK address free of charge.

If we do not agree that the goods are substandard then our above terms under "Changing You Mind", will apply.

Please note that (unless you are dealing as a consumer) if goods have been delivered outside the UK, the return of goods and the shipping of any replacement goods will be at your cost.

All rights, including copyright and database right, in this web site and its content, are owned by or licensed to J9 Limited. Any use of this web site, its contents, or underlying source code and software - including copying or storing it or them in whole or part - other than for your own personal, non-commercial use is prohibited without the permission of J9 Limited. You may not modify, distribute or re-post anything on this web site for any purpose.

All names, images, logos identifying Bass Interiors Online or J9 Limited, www.bassinteriors.co.uk, www.bassinteriors.com, are proprietary marks of J9 Limited They must not be used by third parties without our permission, including for sponsored keywords.

We reserve the right to use for our own purposes any material submitted to the web site, including text and images, either on the web site or in any other form, including for publicity purposes. We reserve the right to monitor submissions to the site and to edit or reject any submissions.


Limitation of Our Liability

We warrant to you that any product purchased from us through our site is of satisfactory quality and reasonably fit for all the purposes for which products of the kind are commonly supplied.

Our liability for losses you suffer as a result of us breaking this agreement including deliberate breaches is strictly limited to the purchase price of the product you purchased and any losses which are a foreseeable consequence of us breaking the agreement. Losses are foreseeable where they could be contemplated by you and us at the time your order is accepted by us.

We are not responsible for indirect losses that result from our failure to comply with these terms that fall into the following categories: 

(a)    loss of income or revenue

(b)    loss of business

(c)    loss of profits or contracts

(d)    loss of anticipated savings

(e)    loss of data

(f)    loss of data, or

(g)    waste of management or office time however arising and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise;

provided that this limitation shall not prevent claims for loss of or damage to your tangible property or any other claims for direct financial loss that are not excluded by any of categories (a) to (g) inclusive of this paragraph.

J9 Limited t/a Bass Interiors Online shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this web site.

J9 Limited t/a Bass Interiors Online makes every effort to ensure that this web site is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this web site or any web sites accessible through it won't cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the web site and screen out anything that may damage it. J9 Limited t/a Bass Interiors Online shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this web site.

Exclusions of Liability

Any disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.


Jurisdiction

This web site, any content contained herein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this web site are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.

Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing.  When using our site, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic.  We will contact you by e-mail or provide you with information by posting notices on our website.  For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices, information and other communications that we provide to you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.  This condition does not affect your statutory rights.


Notices

All notices given by you to us must be given to J9 Limited at Suite 14, Communications House, 9 St John’s Street, Colchester, Essex CO2 7NN. We may give notice to you at either the e-mail or postal address you provide to us when placing an order, or in any of the ways specified in “Written Communications”.  Notice will be deemed received and properly served immediately when posted on our website, 24 hours after an e-mail is sent, or three days after the date of posting of any letter.  In proving the service of any notice, it will be sufficient to prove, in the case of a letter, that such letter was properly addressed, stamped and placed in the post and, in the case of an e-mail that such e-mail was sent to the specified e-mail address of the addressee.


Events Outside Our Control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event). 

Our performance is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period.  We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.


Severability

If any of these terms are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.


Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your legal rights.
